We Just Painted a Home in Brecksville, Ohio - Here's What It Cost and How It Turned Out

We recently completed a full interior and exterior repaint on a beautiful colonial home in Brecksville, Ohio. The homeowners had lived there for 12 years and the paint was showing its age - faded exterior, scuffed walls throughout, and a foyer that felt dark and dated. Here\'s exactly what we did, what it cost, and how it turned out.

The Project

This was a two-phase project: full interior repaint followed by a complete exterior repaint the following week. The home is a 2,800 sq ft colonial on a wooded lot - exactly the kind of property that needs careful prep work due to moisture and organic growth on the exterior surfaces.

Interior: Foyer and Main Living Areas

The homeowners wanted to make a statement in the foyer. After looking at dozens of Sherwin-Williams samples, they landed on Naval (SW 6244) - a deep, rich navy that photographs beautifully and makes the space feel intentional and upscale. We paired it with Extra White trim and a crisp white ceiling.

The rest of the main floor used Agreeable Gray (SW 7029) - one of the most popular colors in Cuyahoga County for good reason. It reads warm in natural light, cool in artificial light, and works with virtually any furniture and flooring.

The Bathroom: Bright and Clean

The master bathroom got a complete refresh with Alabaster (SW 7008) - a warm white that feels clean without being stark. Combined with the existing tile and fixtures, the result was a bathroom that felt brand new without a renovation.

"We couldn\'t believe the difference. The foyer alone was worth every penny - it\'s the first thing you see when you walk in and now it makes a real statement. The crew was professional, clean, and done in 4 days. We\'re already planning the exterior for next spring."
